BOLIVAR, Mo--Southwest Baptist is looking for a new coach Tuesday after Jeff Guiot resigned after ten years with the Bearcats.

Guiot said in a statement that SBU will have a special place in his heart, but it's time to move on in his career.

Jeff Guiot won 180 games in his decade at the SBU helm and took the Bearcats to 3 MIAA regular season titles and 3 NCAA division two tournaments.

Life is tough in the MIAA, especially in football and basketball.

Guiot was 107-82 in conference games during his tenure.

Bearcat athletics director Mike Pitts said the banners hanging from our rafters will serve as a reminder of the great teams he coached.

Guiot coached his son Preston the last couple of seasons, and he still has one more year of eligibility left at SBU.
