SPRINGFIELD, Mo--It was a big Sunday at Hammons Field as both Jaime Garcia and Jason Motte played for the Springfield Cardinals as they took on the Tulsa Drillers.

Garcia rehabbing here in Springfield with hopes to go back up to the majors.

1st inning, Garcia showing of the skills gets Taylor Featherston to strike out swinging.

But in the 2nd, Garcia gives up this 2-run bomb shot to Drillers Harold Riggins. That makes it 2-0 Tulsa up.

In the 2nd Garcia's day went from bad to worse. He gets hit in the elbow on the pitch and after just two innings he would not return. He was later seen wearing a sling.

Still in the 2nd, Cards try to regroup as Mike O'Neill single brings in a run to tie the game at 2-2.

Later, Jason Motte would come in to strike out the side in true Motte fashion. Cardinals however go on to lose 7-3.

"I got to catch for them a few times in Spring Training so I at least went out there knowing how they throw. But it is definitely an honor, you know they have been on teams that have won. They are great Cardinals players and they are a great example for everybody on this team, especially to the pitchers, and even the hitters, to learn how they go about their business. It was unfortunate what happened to Jaime. Still the team was able to see Motte came in aggressive and how under control he was. Like I said, it's an honor to be a part of catching them," said Cardinals catcher Travis Tartamella.
