Ozark Empire Fair Opens Today

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The final touches are being put on the fairgrounds in north Springfield, as the Ozark Empire Fair opens today, Thursday, July 24.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The final touches are being put on the fairgrounds in north Springfield, as the Ozark Empire Fair opens today, Thursday, July 24.

The fair's annual run goes through Saturday, August 2.  The fairgrounds are located 3001 N. Grant in Springfield.  You can access the parking lots from Norton Road between Kansas Expressway and Grant.

Free Ride Day -  Wednesday, July 30
Ride for all mechanical rides for free on Wednesday, July 30th between the hours of 1 to 5 pm.
Each person wanting to ride for free must have a voucher.
Vouchers may be picked up at your local Pyramid Foods Grocery Store including: Price Cutter, Bistro Market, SummerFresh, CountryMart, Save-A-Lot, Smitty's, and Ramey.



Grandstand entertainment this year includes concerts by Third Eye Blind, country music singers Easton Corbin and Randy Houser, along with monster trucks, motocross, tractor pulls and a rodeo.  (See a link to the grandstand schedule below)

 Fair Hours of Operation
When: July 24 - August 2, 2014

July 24th: 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
July 25th through August 2nd: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Buildings: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Midway: Opens at 1:00 p.m.
Livestock Shows: beginning at 8:00 a.m. - Use Gate 10
Closing time after 11:00 p.m. dependent upon crowds and weather conditions.

Admission & Parking
IN ADVANCE:
Single admission, 13 years of age and over | $6.00
Single admission, 6-12 years | $2.00
Buy your advanced tickets at Price Cutter stores, PFI Western or your local Meeks.
AT THE GATE:
Single admission, 13 years of age and over | $8.00
Single admission, 6-12 years | $4.00
Single admission, 5 years and under | FREE
 
PARKING Per day | $5.00
