Osage Beach Man Dies in Three-Vehicle Crash

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. --An Osage Beach man is dead after a three-vehicle crash on Lakeview Dr., just north of N. Ozark Dr., on Tuesday afternoon.
CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. – An Osage Beach man is dead after a three-vehicle crash on Lakeview Dr., just north of N. Ozark Dr., on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a traffic report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Jason W. Kennedy, of Osage Beach, was trying to pass a vehicle in front of him when he struck a tractor-trailer head on.

The vehicle Kennedy was trying to pass, driven by an 18-year-old Camdenton man, then struck the tractor-trailer on the side.

Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene by Camden County Medical Examiner Dee Ballard.

The two other drivers involved in the accident were unharmed.

According to the traffic report, Kennedy was not wearing a seatbelt.

The 18-year-old driver was later arrested on charges of involuntary manslaughter and not having a driver's license. He was sent to the Camden County Jail on a 24-hour hold, according to an arrest report.


This is Troop F’s second fatality for April and 11th fatality for the year.
