Some NW Arkansas Electric Customers See a Brown Out

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. -- Some people in northwest Arkansas woke up to no power, or half-power Wednesday morning.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. -- Some people in northwest Arkansas woke up to no power, or half-power Wednesday morning.

According to Ozarks Electric, at one point, there were more than 11,000 outages in the northwest part of Washington County.

A spokesperson tells us many of those outages were folks with half-power, meaning the lights are not completely off, but dim, sometimes called a "brown-out."

The problem was narrowed down to the Harmon sub-station east of Tontitown.

There is no official word yet on the cause, but crews have now restored power to almost everyone.
