No Reported Injuries After Fire in Auto Shop

Feb. 8 at around 1:00 pm The Western Taney County Protection District and the Branson Fire Department responded to 261 Dawn Road after a report of a structure fire was placed.

Upon arrival firefighters found a single story auto body repair shop with smoke visible.

Upon entry of the automotive shop firefighters found fire above the paint booth in the shop advancing along the ceiling.

According to officials, it took firefighters approximately 15 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No one was in the building at the time.

The paint booth and the area above and around it received fire damage and the rest of the building received heat and smoke damage.

Possible cause of the fire was traced to an overheated blower motor.
