NCAA Suspends Haith For 5 Games

Mizzou basketball coach Frank Haith has been suspended for five games.
COLUMBIA, Mo--The NCAA finally doled out its punishment in the Miami booster scandal case that took nearly two years to investigate.
The NCAA suspended Mizzou basketball coach Frank Haith for five games.
Back in 2010 Haith was the hoops coach at Miami, and the NCAA says that he along with a former assistant paid a jailed booster $10,000 dollars.
The NCAA said Haith failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance.
Haith will miss Mizzou's first five regular season games.
Four of them are at Mizzou Arena, including the Tigers game with Southern Illinois.
The other is in Kansas City when the Tigers play Hawaii at the Sprint Center.
Haith says he disagrees with the findings but will take the punishment without an appeal because that will only hurt his current players.
Haith says he wants closure.
