National Guard to Help Raise Money for Salvation Army

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It's well past the holiday season, but you might notice bellringers out this weekend.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It's well past the holiday season, but you might notice bellringers out this weekend.

Members of the Missouri National Guard will be out raising money for the Salvation Army.

Guard members will be at four Price Cutter stores in Greene and Christian counties Friday and Saturday.

The Salvation Army says this year's severe weather greatly impacted the Tree of Lights fundraiser and the assistance programs it supports, like the cold weather shelter.

The Salvation Army is still $68,000 short of the 2013 Tree of Lights fundraising goal.
