Mizzou's English Giving Back

Former Mizzou basketball player Kim English is conducting a camp in Springfield.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--It's camp time in the Ozarks.

No matter what your sports is, basketball, football or baseball there's a camp for you.

And Tuesday former Mizzou basketball star Kim English held his second annual English and friends camp at the Fieldhouse in south Springfield.

English played four seasons at Mizzou with his career wrapping up in 2012.

The Detroit Pistons picked him in the draft and he played his rookie season for them.

Last year he played profressionally in Italy, and is hoping to make an NBA roster this summer.

But Tuesday and Wednesday he's teaching kids and giving back to the game he loves.

"Missouri has meant so much to me," said Kim English.  "Eventually I'll get some camps started in Baltimore where I grew up.  But Missouri is home, it's where I've been the last six years.  It's been my home base and I want to give back to a state that's given me so much."
