JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Missouri lawmaker Lynn Morris says 500,000 barrels of propane are now headed to the Midwest and Northeast.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Missouri lawmaker Lynn Morris says 500,000 barrels of propane are now headed to the Midwest and Northeast.

He says it’s part of an extended federal energy regulatory commission order that was issued Tuesday.

It allows TE Products Pipeline Company to prioritize propane shipment from seven to 14 days ending on February 21.

The recent spike in propane prices was attributed to high demand after an especially cold winter.

Morris says he still encourages his Christian County constituents to call his office if prices don't fall.
