SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Governor Jay Nixon spoke to a group of dozens of religious leaders Thursday night about Medicaid reform in Missouri.

The "Rally for Economic and Human Dignity" took place at the Central Assembly of God.

More than 25 leaders from churches and faith-based groups lead the meeting.

The focus of the meeting centered around their belief that Medicaid is a moral issue and expansion of the plan is necessary.

"Folks, work is a value in our state. We are supposed to reward people who work hard. Friends when it's easier to get health care by losing a job than by taking one that's a broken system," Governor Jay Nixon said.
