Matheny, Cheray Named All-Valley

Missouri State's Tate Matheny and Eric Cheray were both honored by the Missouri Valley.
TERRE HAUTE, In--In our Bear Nation report, two Missouri State baseball players earned All-Valley status.

Sophomore outfielder Tate Matheny, and junior second baseman Eric Cheray were named All-Valley.

Matheny was put on the first team.

Matheny led the Valley with his .412 batting average during conference play, he also hit six homers with 18 runs batted in.

Cheray was the top defensive second baseman in the Valley with a .980 fielding percentage and was involved in 27 double plays.

Missouri State opens the Valley Tournament Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. against Dallas Baptist. 

That tournament is at Terre Haute, Indiana.
