MARSHFIELD, Mo. -- Ronald McDonald House is getting thousands of dollars thanks to the hard work of a volunteer in the Ozarks.

TJ Slocum works at McDonald’s in Marshfield and Tuesday night he hosted "McTJ Night".

From the sale on Tuesday night, 20 percent go to the Share a Heart Campaign.

TJ and his parents set a goal of raising $12,000 this year. His personal mission is to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House.

He calls the organization his "home away from home" as the charity helped him and his family earlier in their lives.

The Share a Heart Campaign is the largest source of funding for the two Ronald McDonald houses.

Since 2008 TJ has raised over $32,000.
