The Nikkei is up 72 points today in Tokyo.
The Dow was up nearly 14 points Wednesday.

General Motors is cleaning up its vehicle line .  Automotive News reports the car maker will introduce clean diesel powered fuel to new passenger models of its Chevrolet Cruze in the U.S.,  adding executives are optimistic the market for diesel fueled vehicles could grow as much as ten percent by 2020. 

Popular web based car service Uber may soon have to abide by the same laws as taxis . The Maryland Public Service Commission ruled that Uber is a common carrier and must apply for a permit to operate within 60 days. Uber argues it's a technology company and doesn't own "or" operate the cars in its program and shouldn't be regulated.

The world's second most expensive guitar has a new home. Starting today, "Blackie" - Eric Clapton's legendary Stratocaster is on permanent display in Times Square. Guitar Center purchased the instrument at auction a decade ago for just under $960,000. Bob Dylan's Stratocaster - which he played at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965 - is the world's most expensive guitar. It sold at auction for $965,000.
