The Nikkei dropped 154 points today in trading in Japan.
The Dow finished up 76 points Monday.
The Nasdaq .added 31.

The U.S. Justice Department is considering a civil lawsuit against General Motors Finance Division. Federal officials issued a  subpoena for documents related to subprime auto loans--or loans made to borrowers with a questionable credit repayment history.

A new casino could soon be going up, where one of Las Vegas's oldest, used to stand.
The 65 year old New Frontier Hotel was imploded in 2007.  It hosted a who's-who of celebrities over the years, including Elvis Presley.
Crown Resorts, which has casinos in Macau and London, plans to start building a new hotel and casino on the site next year.

And it could be a new world record - for a car auction.
A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is hitting the auction block next week.
Bonhams Auction House hopes it will exceed the previous record of $30 million for a Mercedes sold last year. Auctioneers say the Ferrari's rarity and beauty make it "a must have" for fine automobile collectors. Only 36 of the cars were made.
