The Nikkei is down 81 points today in Tokyo.
On Wall Street, markets dipped tuesday on word that consumer confidence fell last month. The Dow dropped 27 points Tuesday.
And the Nasdaq is down 5.

Tuesday the U.S. Department of Transportation announced that for the first time, it fined Asiana Airlines for failure to assist family members of passengers, on a flight that crashed.
Three people died and dozens were injured last July, when the flight clipped a seawall while landing at San Francisco Airport.  The airline was fined $500,000.

Winter weather chilled Cracker Barrel sales in its second quarter. The country style restaurant chain is blaming the cold weather for a nearly 3-percent drop in store traffic.
And thinking about retirement? A new study ranked the United States 19th in retirement security. The Natixis Global Retirement index measured 150 countries on 20 categories, including: health, wealth, quality of life, and material well-being.
The U.S. remained steady at 19 from last year, coming in behind top-ranked Switzerland, Norway and Austria.
