The Nikkei dropped 96 points today in trading in Tokyo.
U.S. markets have been hitting new highs recently but stocks took a step back Wednesday.
The Dow lost 102 points.
And the Nasdaq fell 9.


Wall Street will get an idea of how much shopping Americans are doing when the latest retail sales figures come out this morning.
The numbers were strong in March but slowed down in April.
May's results could give investors an idea of where the economy is going because consumer spending accounts for more than two thirds of economic output.

Tax time equals dollar signs for H&R Block.
The tax preparer said its net income rose 37 percent in it's fiscal fourth quarter.
The company says more people used their service and its prepaid debit card.

There's a new Vitamin Water on store shelves and the company is getting plenty of complaints. The old full calorie Vitamin Water was sweetened with sugar and fructose - the new formula uses sugar and Steveia - a low calorie sweetener.
Some fans don't care for the new taste and have gone on the Vitamin Water's Facebook page to complain.
Company execs say they are happy with the new formula but always listen to customer feedback.
