On Wall Street, the Dow rallied 188 points Thursday.

Investors are hoping to build on the stock market's best day of the year. They're looking ahead to the government's January jobs report which will be released before the opening bell.

Experts are warning drivers to brace for higher gas prices. The price of gas is expected to rise as refineries start to shut down for winter maintenance, which reduces supply. They also gradually switch to more expensive summer blends of gasoline. AAA predicts the nationwide average will peak between $3.55 and $3.75 a gallon this year -- lower than last year's high of $3.79, reached in late February.

The sandwich chain, Subway, is removing a chemical from its breads after an influential food blogger wrote about it. The chemical is commonly used to increase elasticity in everything from yoga mats to shoe rubber. It's used in bread as a dough conditioner and is approved by the USDA. However, the ingredient is banned in Europe and Australia.

Have you made plans for Valentine's Day yet? According to a Tripadvisor survey, 17 percent of Americans plan to travel for Valentine's Day next weekend for a couples getaway. According to the survey, the most popular cities for romance are San Francisco, Las Vegas, Honolulu, New York and Miami.
