Man Who Died After Police Found Him in Field Has Been Identified

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died after being found unresponsive in a field near Halltown by W. Farm Rd. 116 and N. State Hwy. F. on Sunday.
GREENE COUNTY, Mo. – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died after being found unresponsive in a field near Halltown by W. Farm Rd. 116 and N. State Hwy. F. on Sunday.

According to a news statement, the man has been identified as John A. McNabb, 43, from Bois D’Arc.

Family members reported last seeing McNabb waking southbound on N. Farm Rd. 65 to W. State Hwy. 266 on Saturday morning.

Authorities later found him unresponsive in the field Sunday morning. McNabb was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by an emergency room physician.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, no foul play is suspected as a role in McNabb’s death and there were no visible signs of foul play.

The sheriff’s office reports that McNabb had several medical conditions.

An autopsy is scheduled for today, March 18, where the official cause of death will be determined.
