Man Sentenced to Probation for Theft from Joplin Non-Profit

JOPLIN, Mo. -- A man accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an organization that fights crimes has been sentenced to five years probation.
JOPLIN, Mo. -- The man accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an organization that fights crime in Joplin, has been sentenced to five years probation.

In addition to the five years probation, Matthew Paige, will also have to pay back $3,275 within the next 30 days.

Paige is the former treasurer of Heartland Crime Stoppers, a non-profit organization which provided a way for citizens to report anonymous crime tips.

The organization shut down in April after not having enough funds to continue.
