Investigators say Helms told them he was having a disagreement with the mother of the Clever student and he apologized in a written statement for his conduct.

He was released from the Greene County Jail on $20,000 bond.  The charge is a felony.  Under terms of the bond, Helms is forbidden from possessing a firearm or ammunition, being near the Clever High School premises or communicating with the student or his family.
