SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Locals are gearing up for Spring at the 2014 Lawn and Garden show.

Over 100 exhibitors were offering up one-stop shopping this weekend to meet lawn and garden needs.

Products and services range from trees, seeds, mowers, tillers, and other lawn and garden power equipment.

Attendees can learn the basics and other special tips of one of the fastest growing gardening trends, container gardening, in one of the many seminars available.

Containers utilized where traditional gardens are not usually possible including apartment balconies, decks, patios, and areas with poor soil.

They can be an ideal solution for people in rental properties, gardeners with limited mobility, or for people with limited time to care for a large landscape.

From plant selection, arranging, pruning, combinations, and fertilizing, the seminar will cover everything you need to know to make your pots the envy of your neighbors.

The seminar will be conducted by Mark & Renae Bernskoetter, both have served on the Master Gardener Board of Directors, and have been Master Gardeners since 2004.
