Lasers Fall in Super Tiebreak Again

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Lasers would drop another tough game at home.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Lasers continued their season opening homestand Monday at the Cooper Tennis Complex. Springfield taking on the Texas Wild in a World TeamTennis match.

The Lasers lost a heartbreaker last night to Philadelphia.
    
Monday, it was men's doubles first Michael Russell and Ross Hutchins against Wild's Aisam Qureshi and Alex Bogomolov. Nice volley here but Russell with the smash for the Lasers for the point.

But the Wild's Qureshi was great on the serve and Bogomolov was better at the net.

Wild win the first event 5-2.
        
Women's doubles is up next, the Lasers Olga Govortsova and Anna-Lena Groenefeld against Texas' Anabel Garrigues and Darija Jurak.
         
And Jurak puts the backhand down the line on the Lasers, and the Wild win the second event 5-2, and led 10-4 after two.

Springfield won mixed doubles and men's singles but Texas won 17-16 in a super tiebreak.
