SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Thinking on the fly and having fun is what several children did Monday in Springfield. "KID-Prov Summer Camp" is going on at the Skinny Improv.

Kids learned how to play improv games and how to become more confident and learn to be a member of a team.

Organizers say the activity of improv builds many different skills for kids while being fun.

"Improv adds a lot of different life skills and things like problem solving, team building, learning to listen, and learning to communicate,” says Skinny Improv’s Jeff Jenkins. “Those things will be utilized and learned. They are going to learn to play a bunch of games, use their imagination, work together as a team, and how to listen. That kind of stuff. It’s a lot of fun. "

The three-hour sessions are from 1-4 p.m. and run for the next three weeks.

It costs $110 for your child to attend the week-long camp and at the end the kids perform for their family.
