The Chiefs beat their southside rival by 30.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Week five of the high school football season kicked off early Thursday night.

At Kickapoo, the 4-0 Chiefs hosted southside rival Glendale.

The Falcons are 0-4 going into the game.

Kickapoo broke into the state rankings at number nine in Class 5 this week.

And it was all Chiefs, Anthony Cooper rolls right, then cuts back across the field and scores from 15 yards out it's 6-nothing with the missed PAT.

Later Kickapoo hands it off to Tony Grant, the junior powers it in from three yards out and it's 12-nothing Chiefs with the missed two point try.

Later Grant again and he breaks a couple of tackles and scores from 21 yards out it's 19-nothing Kickapoo.

Still in the first quarter, Cooper pitches to Kelton Reeves, he takes to the near sideline, the ref says he stepped out at the two.

Didn't matter, the Chiefs punch it in on the next play, this time it's John Fuchs for the touchdown, and Kickapoo goes onto win 47-17.
