The Kickapoo Chiefs are 6-0.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Hillcrest (4-1) and Kickapoo (5-0) met on Thursday night at Shumate Stadium in Springfield for a showdown between teams both ranked No. 7 in their respective classes.

Kickapoo got off to a great start with a Kelton Reeves 75-yard punt return to put the Chiefs up 7-0.

Kickapoo was up 21-7 when Hillcrest cut the lead to 8 on a trick play. Austin Coleman ended up with the snap on an end around, and tossed it to quarterback Matt Rush to make it 21-13.

But Kickapoo took it from there John Fuchs scored his third touchdown of the half on a pass from Anthony Cooper.

Kickapoo improved to 6-0 with a 49-21 win.
