Humansville Man Killed After Fight Escalates into Shooting

POLK COUNTY, Mo. – A 37-year-old Humansville man is dead after an argument escalated into a shooting, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
POLK COUNTY, Mo. – A 37-year-old Humansville man is dead after an argument escalated into a shooting, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

A fight was reported in the 3400 block of S. 30 in Humansville around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Polk County deputies and medical personnel arrived on scene and determined the 37-year-old man died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Witness statements led to locating the 58-year-old suspect at his residence in the 3500 block of S. 52 in Humansville.

The suspect was later interviewed at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and arrested with pending felony charges.

Names of the victim and suspect are not available at this time pending the notification of the victim’s family and formal charges being filed against the suspect.
