Chris Brown could face prison time again. And Adam Levine opens up in a recent interview.
Chris Brown walked into a D.C. courtroom Wednesday and rejected a plea deal in his assault case.
The deal would have kept Brown out of prison in exchange for a guilty plea.
But it reportedly fell apart when the singer couldn't agree with the terms in the deal.
"They wanted him to read from a script that wasn't true and he was not going to do that and I was not going to let him do that. So if they want a trial that's what they will get," his attorney said.
The misdemeanor assault charge stems from brown allegedly hitting a man outside a D.C. hotel last October.
Brown's trial is set for September 8th.

Singer Adam Levine tells GQ magazine he doesn't really care if you like him, but would like it if you did.
He thinks he gets a reputation as a womanizer, but admits he's not the easiest person to love.
Levine acknowledges he's "cocky", but not "arrogant".
And sorry ladies. He tells the magazine that Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo has his heart.
The two plan on getting married in Mexico July 19th.

Skin is in.
Athletes are baring it all for ESPN's new body issue.
Five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams and 18-time gold medalist Michael Phelps are among the all-star team.
A total of 22 athletes will be featured in the issue hitting stands July 11th.
