Proud papa Brian Williams gushes over his daughter's casting, singer Lorde lands a big gig and bad news for Big Bang Theory fans.
Brian Williams is a proud papa.
On Wednesday, the "NBC Nightly News" anchor reported on his daughter landing the lead role in the upcoming NBC special "Peter Pan Live!"
The veteran anchor managed to keep a straight face during the report.
"Allison Williams will play the role of Peter Pan. But to family members confirmed she's been rehearsing for this role since the age of 3."
The live televised musical will air Dec 4.

If you loved the "Hunger Games: Catching fire" soundtrack because of singer Lorde...get ready to be happy.
On Thursday..this tweet appeared on the official page for Mockingjay part 1.
"grammy-winner @lordemusic to pen an original song & curate #mockingjay part 1 soundtrack!
The "Royals" singer will not only provide the first single for the album, but will also hand pick the artists for the album.

Bad news for "Big Bang Theory" fans
Production on the CBS comedy has been put on hold because of quote "ongoing contract negotiations"
According to the Hollywood Reporter, some of the stars of CBS' number one comedy are seeking a sizable pay raise -a million per episode.
No word on how long the delay will be....but CBS has the show returning September 22.
