SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Habitat for Humanity in Springfield participated in their 25th anniversary Rally and Build event.

Nearly 200 habitat RV "care-a-vanners" from all over the country stopped in Springfield for the celebration.

There are 38 projects being worked on, including a new home build, three rehabilitated homes, and revitalizing 34 neighborhoods.

Habitat for Humanity's international CEO Jonathan Reckford is in Springfield and is speaking at Monday night’s rally.

"We're really excited about the momentum here in this area,” says Reckford. “Springfield habitat is accelerating right now which is wonderful because truth is, Missouri like every other state in the country has a huge number of families who still need new or improved housing."

The rally is currently going on at the Ozark Empire Fairground until 8 p.m.
