Greene Co. Sheriff's Office Asks for Information in Wednesday Burglary

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. – Deputies are investigating a burglary Wednesday morning at a residence in the 3200 block of W. Roxbury in Springfield.
GREENE COUNTY, Mo. – Deputies are investigating a burglary Wednesday morning at a residence in the 3200 block of W. Roxbury in Springfield.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, a call came in just after 6 a.m. in regards to a burglary in progress at the residence.

When deputies arrived to the scene, they learned the suspect had already run away from the location.

An investigation led deputies to believe the suspect mad entry into the residence by using a garage door opener that was in the victim’s vehicle, which was parked in the driveway.

Though no items were stolen in the incident, detectives are investigating it as a first-degree burglary.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20’s, between 5’8” and 6’ tall, with a thin build and wearing black clothing with a grey t-shirt covering his face.
