Graduations Begin Tonight for Springfield Public High Schools

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Hundreds of high school students cap off their secondary education this week with public graduation ceremonies Thursday and Friday in Springfield.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Hundreds of high school students cap off their secondary education this week with public graduation ceremonies in Springfield. 

About 1700 students at the five public high schools will take the walk down the aisle for their diplomas in ceremonies that start Thursday and go into Friday.

Ceremonies will be held at JQH Arena, 685 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway on the following schedule:

Thursday, May 8
Parkview High School, 5 p.m.
Hillcrest High School, 7 p.m.
Glendale High School, 9 p.m.

Friday, May 9
Kickapoo High School, 5:30 p.m.
Central High School, 8:30 p.m.

In addition, Study Alternative High School will have graduation ceremonies in the school cafeteria at noon Wednesday, May 14. Middle College students will graduate during a ceremony at the Gillioz Theatre, 325 Park Central East, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14.
