GM Begins Repairs on Faulty Ignition Switches

General Motors is about to start repairs on the millions of vehicles at the center of a controversial recall.
General Motors is about to start repairs on the millions of vehicles at the center of a controversial recall.

The owners of six GM models can bring their vehicles to a dealer to fix the ignition switch beginning today (Monday, April 7).

The first repairs are available for model years 2003 through 2007.

The models include the Chevy Cobalt, the HHR, Pontiac G5 and Solstice and Saturn ION and Sky. 

Other models will be added at a later date.

The faulty ignition switch is tied to at least 13 deaths.
