Some trees were knocked down in the Liberty area and a roof was blown off a building.  No one was inside the office building when winds ripped off the roof.

A tornado warning was issued for parts of Jackson, Clay and Ray counties after radar indicated a tornado was near Liberty about 9:30 p.m. Monday. The warning was allowed to lapse by 10 p.m.

Severe storms brought heavy rain, high winds and small hail. Some power outages were reported and trees knocked down.

A tornado skipped over parts of northwest Missouri Monday evening including Gentry, Harrison and Mercer counties. No damage was reported.

Daviess, Grundy and Sullivan counties were included in a later tornado warning issued about 8:15 p.m.
