FERC Signs Off on Plan to Allow Docks to Stay at Lake

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- More than 200 boat houses, docks and other structures can stay put at the Lake of the Ozarks.
CAMDENTON, Mo. -- More than 200 boat houses, docks and other structures can stay put at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Rep.Vickey Hartzler (R-MO), who represents the lake area,  says the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved Ameren's plan to re-align boundaries.
Those structures were initially at risk of being moved... because they did not meet new standards.

The structures that did not meet the new standards following the utility company’s boundary realignment will be grandfathered into the new approved boundary.

After many complaints, a compromise was reached, protecting the properties.  "The FERC requirement caused a lot of concern among Lake-area citizens. It is comforting to know that the final chapter has now been written,” Hartzler said in a news release.
