Drury's Huber Resigns, Molly Miller Takes Over

Drury's womens basketball coach Steve Huber resigned Thursday, assistant Molly Miller takes over.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--A year ago to the day, Drury handed the reigns of its womens basketball program to Steve Huber.  Today, Huber resigned as head coach.

Drury University would only say through a news release that Huber resigned to pursue other opportunities.

A few minutes after that release, Panther Athletics Director Pat Atwell told KOLR 10 sports that former assistant coach Molly (Carter) Miller will take over the program and coach the team next season.  Miller is a Kickapoo product who played for Drury from 2004-2008.

Huber came from Creighton where he was the top assistant at Creighton for seven years before taking over Drury last April.

Huber turned the Lady Panthers around, winning 27 games and taking Drury to the Elite Eight where it lost to the eventual national champions.

KOLR 10 Sports will have more on this story on the news at 6 p.m.
