Drury's Bundy Wins Regional MOP

Drury guard Kameron Bundy was named the Midwest Regional's Most Outstanding Player.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Congratulations to the Drury Panthers who joined Drury's womens team in the Elite Eight in the division two tournament.

Drury beat Michigan Tech 71-57 to advance to the Elite Eight for the second straight year.

Tuesday night's Midwest Regional championship game was a knock down drag out fight between the Panthers and Huskies.

It was four point game at the break in favor of Drury.

But Michigan Tech took the lead early in the second half.

But the Panthers rallied to retake the lead.

Regional Most Outstanding Player Kameron Bundy poured in 24 points and the Panthers advance to Evansville.

"Just us playing as a team is the main thing we focus on," said Kameron Bundy.  "We just come together on the offensive end and the defensive end.  And getting stops and doing it all together.  We're a family, we do everything together.."

"That was a whale of a basketball game," said Drury coach Steve Hesser.  "You had two teams executing their stuff, trying extremely hard.  It was go out in the back yard in the old days, roll up your sleeves and see who was toughest."
