Drury Loses In NCAA Opener

The Drury Panthers lost to Wayne State 1-0 in the opening game of the NCAA D2 tournament.
EVANSVILLE, In--The Drury Panthers opened up the NCAA division two baseball tournament Thursday afternoon against Wayne State in Evansville.

And this was a pitcher's duel, Drury's Trevor Richards strikes out Griffin Harms swinging to end the second.

In the third, the Warriors had a runner at third, Jeremy Carrell lifts this pop fly to left, Cole Clifton tags and scores on the sac fly, 1-nothing Wayne State, that run was important.

Check out this play by Drury's third baseman Ryan Colombo, and over to first for the out.

But Wayne State would keep the Panthers bats in the deep freeze, and the Warriors win 1-nothing.

Drury plays an elimination game Friday.
