SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Drury University hosted a drug take-back Friday to give people an opportunity to safely get rid of old medications.
Bins were set up on campus to collect unneeded prescriptions. People were able to stop by the bin to drop of medications anonymously and free of cost. After they are deposited into the bin the drugs will be incinerated to prevent them from getting into the hands of kids or making their way into the water supply.
The drop-off event will continue through the weekend, several other pharmacies around Springfield will host take-backs Saturday.
