Driver Arrested After Crashing into House

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Springfield Police arrested a 17-year-old early this morning after he crashed his vehicle into a home in southwest Springfield, destroying the garage.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Springfield Police arrested a 17-year-old early this morning after he crashed his vehicle into a home in southwest Springfield, destroying the garage.

Lt. Grant Dorrell said no one in the home in the 1000 block of East National Place Boulevard was injured, but the driver suffered minor injuries. and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver, who was described in a police report as “impaired,” fled the scene after the crash about 3:30 a.m., but was arrested nearby. He is in police custody and is being treated at a local hospital.
