DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating a felony fugitive.

According to a news statement, Jacob Aaron James, 31, of Ava, is wanted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for numerous parole and probation violations.

James, who plead guilty to sexual assault and was released from prison, has began stalking and harassing the victim from his initial arrest, according to the statement.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued for aggravated stalking.

James has made threats against law enforcement and has indicated he will oppose the arrest, according to the statement.

James is considered armed and dangerous.
