SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The emergency room at Cox North is closed due to a broken water pipe.

According to Director of Corporate Communications Yvette Williams, water flooded the emergency room Friday night.

The ER is expected to be closed for several days as the mess is cleaned up.

At least 20-25 patients that were inside Cox North at the time were taken to Cox South.  The hospital staff is alerting the public and letting them know they should go to Cox South if they can.

There will still be a crew at Cox North to direct patients to the other hospital.
