Community Reacts to DGB Dismissal

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Springfield residents give their perspectives on DGB being cut.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Thanks Dan, I'm here at Hillcrest high school where Dorial Green-Beckham played for the Hornets from 2008-2011.

In fact it was right here where the All-State wide reciever and one of the nations top recruit signed to go Mizzou.

And all that came to an end today as Green-Beckham was dismissed from the football team this afternoon.

"You just hate to see an opportunity wasted. I don't know that it is wasted for good but i think it was the right thing to do. He has had more than one chance and it is time, " said Michael Russell.

"I think it is a shame the guy has got a lot of potential," said Magnum Dampier. "But I don't think it was the wrong move. I mean you are representing the college and as they are getting more and more into these bigger competitions it is very important for them to hold a certain image. If they let him get away with stuff then they kind of got to let everyone get away with it. I hope he can potentially get a shot to keep doing what he was doing but you never know i mean those are some pretty big charges and things going on. "

Dan, obviously members of the community upset with the news.

Truly an unfortunate scenario.

That no one saw coming when he signed to be a Tiger just a few years back.
