Clarity Recovery, Former Sigma House, Holds Open House

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Mental health programs will benefit from the governor's release of funds Thursday.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Mental health programs will benefit from the governor's release of funds Thursday.

Clarity Recovery and Wellness -- formerly known as Sigma House -- held an open house in Springfield.

Mark Stringer, Director of the Division of Behavioral Health, explains what the funding means.

"It also means that more people that are not covered by insurance, basically poor people not covered by insurance, or who are on Medicaid, will have access to services that they otherwise would not have."

In June, Gov. Nixon withheld $400 million from the state's budget.

The facility has a photography display showing the stories of four people in recovery from addiction.
