Chiefs Trade Baldwin To Niners

The Kansas City Chiefs traded wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin for A.J. Jenkins.
KANSAS CITY, Mo--The Kansas City Chiefs have Monday off, but that didn't stop the front office from making a move that they hope will shore up the receiving corps.

K.C. traded Jonathan Baldwin to San Francisco for receiver A.J. Jenkins.

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Baldwin with their first round pick in 2011 out of Pitt.

The new Chiefs regime has been frustrated with Baldwin for most of training camp, as he's dropped a number of passes both in practice and in the exhibition games.

In two seasons, Baldwin has caught 41 passes with only two touchdowns.

Jenkins was the Niners first round draft pick in 2012 out of Illinois.

He's only played in three NFL games.

Chiefs general manager John Dorsey says the deal will be beneficial for all parties involved.
