Cards All-Stars Enjoying Time In Tulsa

(Springfield, Mo.) -- Six Double-A Cardinals were in Tulsa Wednesday night for Thursday's Texas League All-Star game.
(Springfield, Mo.) -- Six Double-A Cardinals were in Tulsa Wednesday night for Thursday's Texas League All-Star game.

    Wednesday night there was an All-Star gala at the Hyatt in downtown Tulsa.

    The six Springfield Cardinals selected this year were:

    Oscar Taveras, OF

    Audry Perez, C
   
    Jermaine Curtis, 3B

    Kolten Wong, 2B

    Keith Butler, RP

    Trevor Rosenthal, SP

    "Everyone on this field that's going to playing is going to be playing is really good," said Wong, who will also compete in Thursday night's Home Run Derby. "It's going to be fun but still really competitive. It's going to be a really good time for all of us, and I think we'll all cherish this for the rest of our lives."

    "This is amazing," said Curtis. "Playing with the best of the best in the Texas League. I'm excited to improve my game, I'm going to learn from everyone here. A bunch of young prospects that will be in the majors, and in the Futures Game. Kolten Wong is in the Futures Game, and Oscar Taveras is in the Futures Game. It's just amazing to be here with all this talent."
