Did you like The Chris The Critic Facebook page?  Well, I blew it up from last Thursdays Critic's Choice Movie Awards.  Great time in Los Angeles.  Everyone was there.  Have great pics!  Big winners were 12 YEARS A SLAVE, AMERICAN HUSTLE, LONE SURVIVOR, Matthew McConaughey, Cate Blanchett, Jared Leto and Lupita Nyong'O.  It was a GREAT time!  Next up are The Oscars on March 2nd.

NEW AT THE BOX OFFICE THIS WEEK:
I, FRANKENSTEIN - Frankenstein's creature finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.  The amazingly talented Aaron Eckhart & Bill Nighy star.
GIMME SHELTER - A teenager sets out to find her Wall Street father and is forced into the streets in a desperate journey of survival. Based on a true story.  Vanessa Hudgens & Rosario Dawson star.
       
TOPS AT THE BOX OFFICE LAST WEEK:
RIDE ALONG topped the box followed the must see LONE SURVIVOR follows, NUT JOB and the rather suspenseful JACK RYAN:  SHADOW RECRUIT top the box!       
       
NEW ON DVD THIS WEEK-
CAPTAIN PHILLIPS - Tom Hanks IS Captain Richard Phillips in the true story of the of the first American cargo ship hijacked in 200 years by Somali pirates.

BLUE JASMINE - Cate Blanchett  is a  New York socialite, deeply troubled and in denial, arrives in San Francisco to impose upon her sister.

The annual AWESOME CANS Film Festival is THIS Saturday at The Wehrenberg Campbell 16!  Bring in 5 cans of 5 and see a matinee movie for FREE … if you bring in an additional 10 cans, you can also get a pass to see a movie at another time.  ALL the canned goods stock the shelves of our LOCAL Salvation Army!  This annual tradition is GREAT for the fam!  Wehrenberg.com for details!
