SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks are launching their Donation Station project Mar. 8 at Bowl for Kids’ Sake.

Individuals can stop by Battlefield Lanes today, Mar. 8 from 11 am to 5 pm to donate clothing and small non-breakable household items to support their mentoring programs.

The BBBSO Donation Station project officially begins on Sat. Mar. 15 when the group’s Donation Station bins will be going up in parking lots of local participating businesses.

BBBSO has launched this project in collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City (BBBSKC) and Savers Thrift Stores.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with Savers and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City to create sustainable revenue for our agency. This partnership will aid in the organization’s continued growth and ability to positively impact children’s lives through the power of mentoring,” says Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks CEO Katie Davis.

BBBSO has received start-up funding for this project through a challenge grant offered by Community Foundation of the Ozarks. These funds were then matched by other local donors.

The Donation Stations will be positioned at the following businesses: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Brick City, First Home Savings Bank, Fuldner Plaza, Mother's Brewing Company, Nelson's SWAG, Sherwin-Williams – Nixa, The Vecino Group, The Venues Church and Wilhoit Building.
