Bears Top Bradley

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Keith Pickens returned for a short time in the win against Bradley.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Missouri Valley Conference has reached the half way point of the season.
And for the Bears, heading into their game against Bradley Saturday, they were in a 3-way tie for fourth place.

Missouri State looking to complete the series sweep on the Braves this season.

Bears Dorrian Williams finds Christian Kirk inside for the flush. Missouri State up 19-11.

Then, the Braves Tyshon Pickett hits the jumper to cut the Bears lead to 6.

And after missing a couple weeks Keith Pickens checked in for the Bears and he made a difference right away.

Pickens with the dunk, feeling great to be back. Ties it at 23. But Pickens would end up leaving the game with back spasms.

Bradley hanging around. As Omari Grier hits a three ball. That makes it 44-42 Bears.

But, Gavin Thurman and the Bears would put the Braves away in the second half.

Missouri state wins it 74-61.

"I played six minutes. I think my max today was going to be 15 just to ease back into it and i was perfectly fine with that. My body feels fine so I will be alright for whatever happens down the road. Late back spasms nothing major so I will be fine," said Bears guard/forwar Keith Pickens.

"He's feeling really good. Then he was showing off trying to get a dunk, he's too old for that stuff he's just got to lay it in. He wants to play, he wants to help us. He did very positive things out there in his short time," said Bears basketball coach Paul Lusk.
