According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to an unattended death call Thursday evening to a home in the 200 block of Garden Terrace in rural Mountain Home.

Acquaintances of Thomas Marcus Paiva found him dead in the home after going to check on him.

A statement from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office says the acquaintances made prior efforts to contact Paiva, but couldn’t reach him.

The sheriff’s office says there is no indication of foul play, but the body is being taken to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
